python3-whois software package provides Python module for retrieving WHOIS information - Python 3, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python3-whois
python3-whois is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python3-whois package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python3-whois *
You will get with python3-whois package name, version, architecture and description in a table
